The Coalition Against an UnSound Crossing is happy to announce that the Cuomo Administration has abandoned its proposal to build either a bridge or tunnel across Long Island Sound.

Over the past several months, we have worked closely with local and state officials, civic groups and individual citizens to explain why this proposal is a bad idea for Long Island and for New York State as a whole. The broad and positive support we have received for our mission and message has been resounding and for this we are very thankful.

As we stated in our first press conference just this past Wednesday, we are firmly committed to ensuring this decision is long term and final. As such, we will continue to engage with our elected officials and other community leaders and monitor events as they unfold. Updates will continue to be posted on our Website and FaceBook page.
